Job Description
You’ll be the crucial first touchpoint connecting Australian trades with game-changing advertising opportunities. This role puts you at the forefront of helping established businesses break free from crowded directory listings and secure premium Google positions that generate real results. You’ll work with warm prospects who already have established businesses, making meaningful conversations about growth rather than cold pitches.
Responsibilities
- Conduct targeted cold calling to Australian tradespeople using provided databases and contact lists
- Follow proven scripts to clearly articulate the agency’s value proposition and competitive advantages
- Educate prospects on the disadvantages of directory advertising where they compete with multiple businesses
- Explain the benefits of exclusive front-page Google positioning that eliminates direct competition
- Qualify initial prospects and gather key information before passing to senior sales team members
- Handle inbound inquiries and provide professional first-level explanations of services
- Maintain detailed records of prospect interactions and appointment scheduling
- Schedule qualified appointments and ensure smooth hand offs to closing specialists
Requirements
- 2-3 years of proven experience in appointment setting, cold calling, or sales roles
- Strong communication skills with clear, professional phone presence suitable for business owners
- Experience working with Australian companies or deep familiarity with Australian business culture
- Comfortable with cold calling and handling initial prospect objections professionally
- Ability to follow provided scripts while maintaining natural, conversational flow
- Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup for consistent performance
- Bonus if you have basic understanding of digital marketing or Google advertising concepts
- It helps if you have experience specifically calling tradespeople or service-based businesses.
