About the role
We're looking for a sharp and conversion-minded Video Editor who specializes in paid media. Your role will be to craft high-performance direct-response ad creatives for Meta (Facebook/IG). You should be skilled in creating thumb-stopping hooks, visual storytelling, and editing formats that move the needle in CTR and ROAS.
What you'll do
- Edit short-form paid ads with rapid, attention-grabbing pacing
- Add compelling motion graphics, text overlays, and sound design
- Splice together footage from multiple videos or sources to create a cohesive and compelling message
- Go off-script when necessary to elevate the final product beyond the original brief
- Find your own stock or b-roll footage when needed to fill gaps or elevate visual storytelling
- Optimize edits for multiple aspect ratios and platforms (1:1, 9:16, 16:9)
- Study and iterate based on performance data (CTR, hook rate, conversions)
- Deliver 15 pieces of content a week
- Maintain on-brand visuals while pushing creative boundaries
You are
- Obsessed with performance based creative
- Confident making independent creative decisions when the footage or script falls short
- Resourceful you don’t wait to be spoon fed clips or direction
- Fluent in what makes people stop scrolling and take action
- Able to work fast and smart without sacrificing quality
- Deeply familiar with ad trends, direct-response formats
Requirements
- Collaboration in 1-on-1s and team meetings
- Clear, daily async communication in Slack
- Strong time management and ability to hit weekly creative deadlines
- Access to high-speed internet and editing tools
- Availability for occasional rapid-turnaround edits as performance data rolls in
Compensation
- $1,000 - $3,000 a month depending on experience
