We are seeking a highly organised Sales Support Officer to manage inbound customer enquiries, coordinate bookings, and support our sales team across day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for progressing enquiries through to confirmed bookings, ensuring accurate information is provided to customers, and maintaining smooth communication between clients, in-house boat, and third-party boat owners.
- Manage inbound customer enquiries across phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate bookings between customers, in-house boats, and third-party boat owners, ensuring availability and smooth communication.
- Provide customers with accurate hire fees, BYO charges, and other booking details.
- Confirm dates, issue booking confirmations, and send invoices and payment links through the bespoke booking system.
- Progress enquiries through the booking pipeline using email automation and internal tools.
- Maintain a professional phone manner and deliver exceptional service to enhance customer experience.
- Liaise with boat owners to confirm scheduling, availability, and customer requirements.
- Support the sales team by keeping accurate records of bookings, payments, and client interactions.
- Assist with training documentation and process improvement as new systems and workflows are introduced.
- During the off-peak winter season (2–3 months), provide additional support in social media management, low-level copywriting, and general marketing tasks.
- Other role specific duties as they arise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Tourism, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in customer support, inbound sales, or a coordination-focused role.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly phone manner and professional email writing.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and bookings simultaneously.
- Confidence in learning bespoke booking and invoicing systems (training provided).
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with fluctuating demand.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn on the job.
- Familiarity with the boating, events, or tourism industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience in social media management or copywriting is advantageous.
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused.
- Calm and composed under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in bookings and invoices.
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable supporting both sales and marketing activities as required
