Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst will be supporting Aetna Better Health’s Illinois Medicaid health plan and will report directly to the Senior Manager of FP&A. This position will be involved in the monthly financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making in support of the business partners. Also supporting the Central FP&A team in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, and many other financial processes in support of the health plan financial objectives. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for analysis that supports the business in making better financial decisions. They will work cross functionally to analyze reports, as well as work on a variety of special projects.
Job Description:
Acts on behalf of FP&A team in the analysis of ABHIL annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans by collaborating with stakeholders to gather inputs, analyze financial data, and provide recommendations for financial targets and resource allocation.
Provides in-depth financial analysis and communication of results, including variance analysis and trend analysis in membership, SG&A and revenue areas.
Supports the forecasting process by analyzing trends, identifying key drivers, and preparing financial models to evaluate different scenarios and their impact on financial outcomes.
Identifies areas of process improvement, smart goals, cost-saving opportunities, and revenue enhancement strategies.
Develops and analyzes complex financial models to support strategic decision-making, investment analysis, and business planning.
Ability to collaborate across cross functional business, growth partners, and shared service areas to gather the appropriate information to analyze the data and provide decision support to evaluate better financial outcomes.
Understanding of membership trends, MLR drivers and working knowledge of Managed Care related metrics.
Assist with completing Quarterly State reporting which requires extensive excel/data management.
For this role you will need Minimum Requirements
• 3-5 years work experience
• MS Office suite knowledge including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Working knowledge of problem solving and decision-making skills
• Experience in critical decision support and analysis of financial data and resources
Preferred knowledge
SQL / SAS querying skills and experience with using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau
Education
• Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 - $112,200.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
