Job Summary:
The Integration Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Helix Traffic Solutions’ post-acquisition integration and value-creation agenda. This role reports directly to the VP of M&A Integration and partners closely with the Integration team, Corporate FP&A, and operational leadership at the acquired division to deliver rigorous financial analysis, integration modeling, and value tracking across newly acquired businesses. Helix anticipates continued growth through both organic topline and strategic acquisitions across the United States, and this role is critical to that success.
The role is highly analytical and execution-oriented, serving as a force multiplier for the Integration and Finance organizations by owning complex spreadsheet modeling, chart of accounts mapping support, budget consolidation, and tracking of value creation initiatives—including both cost synergies and revenue growth initiatives.
This position is ideal for a hands-on finance, accounting, or FP&A professional who thrives in a fast-paced, private-equity-backed environment and enjoys working across M&A, integration, and operations to turn strategy into measurable results. Helix anticipates continued growth through both organic top-line growth and strategic acquisitions across the United States, which will require extensive travel (up to 50+% during peak periods) as part of the post-M&A integration process.
Key Responsibilities:

- Support early integration activities through detailed financial analysis and modeling.
- Build and maintain integration-specific financial models, including:

- Partner with Integration Controller(s) to support chart of accounts mapping, budget alignment, and financial readiness activities.
- Assist in standardizing financial structures and reporting during early-stage integrations.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Tracking (20-25%)
- Consolidate and support bottom-up budget development and support rolling monthly forecasts for newly acquired entities during integration.
- Support development of integration-adjusted forecasts reflecting synergy capture, cost actions, and growth initiatives.
- Prepare monthly integration performance reporting, including variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and deal thesis.
Value Creation & Synergy Tracking (5-10%)
- Own tracking and reporting of value creation initiatives across integrations, including:
- Cost savings (labor, procurement, fleet, overhead, SG&A)
- Revenue growth (new markets, pricing, cross-sell, utilization)
- Maintain value realization trackers aligned to deal models and approved synergy targets.
- Partner with operations and functional leaders to validate initiative status, timing, and financial impact.
- Prepare executive-ready dashboards summarizing value delivery vs. plan.
Reporting & Analytics (5-10%)
- Develop and maintain integration dashboards and KPI reporting to support executive and IMO governance.
- Translate operational and financial data into actionable insights for Integration, Finance, and Operations leadership.
- Perform root cause analysis on underperformance or integration risks and support corrective action planning.
- Support ad hoc analysis related to acquisitions, business combinations, and transformation initiatives.
Cross-Functional & IMO Support
- Act as a key analytical partner within the Integration Management Office (IMO).
- Support governance routines including weekly integration reviews, value tracking cadences, and executive updates.
- Coordinate closely with Corporate Development, FP&A, Controllers, HR, IT, and Operations to ensure alignment of data, assumptions, and reporting.
- Assist in refining integration tools, templates, and repeatable processes.
Communication & Executive Support
- Prepare clear, concise materials in Excel and PowerPoint for leadership audiences, related to integration performance and value realization.
- Present financial insights, risks, and opportunities to Integration and Finance leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.

Skills & Attributes:

- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex analysis into executive-level insights.
- Self-starter mindset with a bias toward execution and continuous improvement.
