POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is a critical component of our Finance team's mission to establish a scalable foundation for high-growth operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) within a services-based environment, and a proven ability to leverage data visualization tools to drive actionable insights. This position offers a unique opportunity to have a direct, significant impact on the financial processes and strategic direction of a dynamic, private equity-backed digital marketing agency. This role may involve limited travel, estimated at 1-3 times per year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Financial Reporting & Performance Analysis
Generate accurate, timely, and detailed monthly reports for the executive team and Private Equity sponsor, focusing on our core metrics: Operating Revenue Growth, Adjusted EBITDA Growth, Gross Profit, Personnel Costs, Operating Cash Flow, and Client Churn Rate.
Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards within our core tech stack (Accounting Seed, Domo, and Cube) to facilitate transparent reporting across the organization.
Conduct monthly variance analysis against budget, current forecast, and prior year, and proactively identifying trends.
Translate complex financial data into clear, strategic narratives for non-financial stakeholders.
*Strategic Risk Monitoring & Forecasting
Create and maintain weekly liquidity report for CFO and CEO. Analyze upcoming inflows and outflows and provide early warning of possible cash constraint.
Report on client churn rate trends and the financial implications of customer retention efforts.
*Budgeting & Strategic Initiative Support
Support the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities, maintaining all files and reports necessary to support the overall process.
Assist in the financial modeling and due diligence for potential acquisitions, helping to integrate target company data into our existing reporting framework.
Partner with HR to refine labor cost models and ensure accurate tracking of Personnel Costs and headcount planning needed to support agency growth.
Create ad-hoc financial models and analyses to assess new strategic initiatives, capital expenditures, and operational efficiencies critical for maintaining a positive operating cash flow.
Create and maintain "Data room" for companies eventual exit. Minimizing the lift required at time of liquidity event.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
4+ years of progressive experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role, with significant time spent within a services company, professional services, or agency environment.
Technical Expertise: High proficiency in our core tech stack is a must:
- Data Visualization/BI: Domo (or similar, such as Tableau/Power BI)
- ERP/GL: Accounting Seed (or similar cloud-based ERP)
- FP&A Platform: Cube (or similar financial modeling/data management platform)
PREFERRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Strong FP&A background, excellent analytical skills, and proven ability to be a self-starter who can take a project framework and deliver independent, high-quality results.
Highly detail-oriented, with strong communication skills suitable for interacting with the executive team.
