Summary
The Regional Community Manager, UK & Ireland, is responsible for leading and managing the organization’s regional groups to enhance member engagement, foster networking opportunities, and deliver value-added services to meet the needs of our diverse membership base. This role focuses on developing and implementing community engagement strategies, programs, and initiatives to create a vibrant and supportive community environment that enhances member satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
This role requires a proactive, curious leader who thrives in an autonomous environment, enjoys solving complex challenges, and excels at building meaningful relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit and build a strong volunteer base comprised of industry leaders within different segments of the IT industry (e.g., Managed Services, AI, Data, Cybersecurity, etc.)
- Conduct face-to-face and virtual community meetings
- Facilitate online and in-person discussions within the community for the benefit of the industry segment represented and the IT industry
- Work closely with the community to identify initiatives that provide strong benefits to the IT industry
- Collaborate with different functional teams within the organization to meet the diverse needs of the community (events, research, education, etc.)
- Create content (written and otherwise) related to the regions you lead
- Manage the ongoing business of regions, including setting meeting dates, agendas, minutes, etc.
- Develop community leadership according to GTIA governance structure (executive councils and chairs)
- Organize and participate in industry events to build community and boost brand awareness
- Coordinate with Marketing, PR, and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency
- Build relationships with members, potential customers, industry professionals, and journalists
- Attend industry events
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Key Performance Metrics
- Member Engagement Rate:Measures the level of interaction and participation of members within the community, including participation in workshops, content downloads, and social activities on the community platform or social media accounts. A higher engagement rate indicates more active and involved community members.
- Executive Council Leadership:Act as a leader and facilitator for the Executive Council, ensu ring alignment with organizational vision and priorities.
- Community Growth:Tracks the increase in the number of members within regional groups over time, reflecting the effectiveness of community-building efforts and outreach initiatives. Growth can be measured by new memberships, newsletter subscribers, or social media followers.
- Member Retention Rate:Assesses the ability to maintain the interest and loyalty of existing members by comparing the number of active members over a specific period to the total number at the start of that period. High retention rates suggest successful value delivery.
- Event Attendance and Participation:Evaluates the success of events organized to build community and boost brand awareness, measuring both the number of attendees and the level of engagement during these events.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Willingness to travel (approximately 40%)
- Total Compensation Range – 76,500 to 95,625 GBP
Education and Experience
- A degree is preferred but not required for this role
- 5+ years of direct experience in a related field
