GrowthAssistant is looking for a Community Manager to help one of our healthcare clients build and launch their first-ever community program — from the ground up.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing to design, launch, and manage vibrant parent and teen communities that drive engagement, storytelling, and brand growth across multiple platforms.

Core Tasks
• Build from the ground up: Support the development and execution of the client’s first community program.
• Collaborate with marketing: Work with the Head of Marketing to define structure, incentives, engagement strategy, and content calendar.
• Manage multi-platform communities: Launch and manage parent and teen groups across Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, TikTok, and potentially Slack or WhatsApp.
• Drive engagement daily: Post prompts, reply to comments, welcome new members, and encourage testimonials and authentic stories.
• Identify advocates: Nurture brand ambassadors and success stories for marketing and ad creative use.
• Track insights: Measure growth, sentiment, and engagement, and share actionable insights with the marketing team.
• Collaborate weekly: Align community insights with paid and organic marketing strategies.
• Pilot new programs: Manage 30-60-90 day goals for new adolescent initiatives (e.g., teen acne and obesity), tracking KPIs and engagement.
• Launch storytelling content: Create “Before and After” series and high-impact community narratives starting in week 1.
• Research trends: Participate in existing online communities to understand tone, content trends, and engagement opportunities.
Must-Have Skills
• 3+ years of experience in community management or social media engagement
• Proven success building or scaling online communities
• Hands-on experience managing communities on Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and TikTok
• Exceptional written English and empathetic communication style
• Creative and strategic thinker with a strong sense of audience connection
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
• Confident communicator who contributes ideas and insights proactively
• Proficient in Notion, Slack, Canva, and Google Workspace (Figma a plus)
• Able to work EST hours
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience in healthcare, wellness, or health-tech (HIPAA familiarity is a plus)
• Familiarity with email and CRM tools (Iterable or similar platforms)
• Understanding of performance marketing or social trend spotting
• Prior exposure to adolescent or parent communities

5. Develop and grow an owned community channel (e.g., Facebook Group, Reddit, Slack, or WhatsApp)
6. Engage daily, surface testimonials, and share insights with marketing weekly
7. Test community-generated content in ads and refine engagement tactics continuously
