About our position
ASI is looking for a passionate and motivated Associate Sales Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Associate Sales Support Engineer is responsible for supporting ASI’s sales efforts to drive the business growth of OpenWater, iMIS, TopClass, Clowder, and other ASI software solutions. In this role, the Sales Support Engineer will collaborate closely with the sales support team to provide support in OpenWater pre-sales activities, including product demos, product fit evaluations, product discovery calls and other sales documentation to assist the sales operations.
What you’ll be doing
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide support in pre-sales activities, including demo preparation, answering product-related inquiries, and assisting with RFP responses and proposal development and other documentation-related tasks.
- Observe and learn demo techniques and become familiar with the master demo system, gradually take on more responsibilities in demo presentations and assisting current Sales Support Engineers in demo presentations.
- After training, conduct practice demos for partners interested in our products, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience that highlights the value and capabilities of OpenWater software and all ASI’s products.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of product demo videos especially in the Consensus platform.
- Meet with clients and prospects to review and discuss specific product functionality questions.
- Maintain demo scripts for OpenWater ASI software solutions as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all of ASI’s products, sales policies, and procedures to ensure a high level of customer service.
- Perform other job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Compensation
Compensation for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an individual’s skills, experience, training, certifications, education, geographic location, business needs, and internal equity. For candidates located in Alexandria, VA or Austin, TX, the current estimated compensation range for this role is $50,000 - $65,000. Compensation may vary for candidates in other locations within the United States.
