Position Title: Senior Short-Form Video Editor
Work Set-up: WFH, Full-time
Shift Schedule: 3PM to 12AM PHT
Salary: PHP 60,000 – PHP 70,000
About the Role:
Our UK-based client is hiring a strategic Short-Form Video Editor (4–5 years’ experience) to play a key role in a high-performing Brand and Media team. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond pure execution and operate as a thinking partner. Using short-form content to drive discovery, intent and measurable impact across a wider content ecosystem.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced, content-led environment where clarity of thinking, editorial judgement and performance mindset matter. This role suits someone who understands how to cut through noise, make deliberate creative decisions and take ownership of outcomes, not just output.
Requirements
• A degree in Marketing, Multimedia Arts, or a related field (required)
• 4–5 years of professional experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio of short-form content
• Advanced proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Pro
• Deep understanding of short-form video platforms, including trends, algorithms, and best practices
• Proven ability to identify compelling hooks and craft engaging micro-stories from long-form content
• Strong understanding of viewer retention, audience behavior, and content performance metrics
• High attention to detail across all aspects of editing, including audio, visuals, and pacing
• Ability to work independently while contributing strategically to a wider content team
Your Responsibilities as a Short-Form Video Editor would be:
• Extract and repurpose high-value moments from long-form content into engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Apply advanced editing techniques focused on strong hooks, pacing, and retention — especially within the first 3 seconds
• Adapt editing styles, pacing, and visual elements to ensure each content pillar and personality has a clear, distinct, and recognisable identity
• Create content specifically targeted at entrepreneurs and business owners, prioritizing quality of audience and intent over vanity metrics or broad reach
• Own the performance of your content, continuously analyzing results and iterating to improve retention, engagement, and click-through to long-form content
• Contribute proactively to content strategy by suggesting new formats, hooks, and creative approaches based on trends and performance insights
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Social Media and Brand & Media Team to align output with wider marketing and content goals
• Maintain high production standards across audio, color grading, captions, and on-screen graphics
