We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to support a fast-paced healthcare practice specializing in spine, orthopedics, or pain management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, patient-focused, and capable of handling high call volumes while maintaining excellent communication and accuracy in administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls (50–100 per day) in a professional and efficient manner.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
- Perform insurance verification and obtain prior authorizations.
- Handle prescription refill requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EHR system.
- Provide general administrative support as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in spine, orthopedics, or pain management within a U.S. healthcare setting, in a front desk, patient coordinator, or similar role (non-negotiable).
- Proficiency in DrChrono EHR (non-negotiable)
- Proven experience with personal injury cases and PI intake processes preferred.
- Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
- Familiarity with prescription refill workflows.
- Strong communication skills; bilingual candidates preferred or excellent English.
- Ability to handle high call volumes in a fast-paced environment
Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) offering a pay rate of $6–$8 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. The work schedule is from 8:30 AM PST to 5 PM PST, Monday to Friday.
