Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Analyst to provide project execution and financial management support within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities who can independently interpret financial data, develop reporting solutions, and support system and process improvements in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Data Management & Analysis: Review, validate, reconcile, and analyze financial and statistical data from multiple sources; prepare adjustments, reports, dashboards, and summaries to support program needs.
- Reporting & Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain standard and custom reports using tools such as SAP, Web Intelligence, OLAP, Analysis for Office, and Tableau.
- Customer Support & Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify reporting needs, gather requirements, and deliver data solutions while communicating any limitations or risks.
- System Support & Testing: Troubleshoot system issues, monitor job status, and support testing for system upgrades and enhancements to ensure functionality prior to deployment.
- Training & Documentation: Develop training materials, user guides, and deliver training sessions; provide follow-up support to end users.
- Process Improvement & Workflow Analysis: Evaluate financial systems, data flows, and processes; identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance performance and reduce costs.
- Communication & Reporting: Prepare and distribute technical communications, reports, and documentation related to financial operations and system updates.
- Programmatic & Financial Review: Conduct analyses of financial and programmatic relationships to support leadership decision-making.
Education, Experience, and Technical Skills
Required Education, Experience, and Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting
- Strong proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools (SAP, Tableau, Web Intelligence, etc.)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, data analysis)
- Demonstrated ability to independently analyze complex financial data and exercise sound judgment
- Experience interpreting policies and applying them to real-world financial scenarios
- Strong problem-solving skills, including handling precedent-setting issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- High attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Real ID or Passport in order to undergo commercial airfare travel
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license
Working Environment
This position primarily operates in a professional office setting with standard office equipment and a quiet, climate-controlled environment. While in the office, there is no regular exposure to loud noise, hazardous materials, or heavy machinery.
Physical Demands
Sitting/Standing: This role is generally sedentary, performing sitting work utilizing technological office equipment, including a laptop, mouse, keyboard, computer monitors, telephones, scanners, and copiers.
Walking: This role requires the ability to move about inside the office to access the required technological equipment.
Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: This role may require stooping to reload printer trays with print paper, moving equipment, and managing cords.
Using Hands/Fingers: This role constantly operates technological office equipment such as laptops, mice, keyboards, computer monitors, telephones, scanners, and copiers.
Talking/Hearing: This role requires constant communication with others in the organization to exchange information, review information, and make decisions about information.
Seeing: This role requires seeing, viewing, and distinguishing all aspects of internal and external communications.
Carrying/Lifting: This role requires lifting up to 20lbs to transport technological office equipment to and from various workspaces.
