About the Product
Our partner operates a shared Open Data infrastructure that powers everything from payments and loans to entirely new financial products for Israel's leading banks, fintechs, insurers, and retailers. The company is past early-stage chaos — funded, in active sales growth, with major financial institutions already in production. The next phase is scaling the enterprise side and building new products on top of the core platform. Working hours align with the Israeli week (Sunday-Thursday); the team is fully remote-friendly.
What You'll Be Doing
Architect and ship core open finance features end-to-end — from data ingestion to API surface to frontend exposure.
Design and operate the data pipelines that move financial data at scale through the platform.
Make architectural decisions across the stack: choose patterns, frameworks, and how the team builds.
Collaborate closely with product and engineering on what gets built next.
Mentor junior developers and lift the bar on code review, testing, and engineering practice.
Own production: own the systems you ship through deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
What We Expect
Must-have
5+ years of full-stack engineering experience (SQL → backend → frontend).
4+ years of Python in production.
Hands-on Django + Celery (or strong comparable async/task framework experience).
REST API design and event-driven microservices in production.
Production Kubernetes (AWS or OpenShift) - not lab or POC.
Deep PostgreSQL - schema design, query optimization, replication.
React in production.
Fluent English (C1+) - daily collaboration with an Israeli team.
Nice to have
OpenShift specifically (the platform runs on it for some clients).
Oracle (legacy banking integrations).
Node.js (occasional services).
Strong CI/CD ownership - "you ship it, you own it".
Fintech, banking, or open finance domain background.

Python, Django, Celery, React, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes (AWS), AWS Lambda for serverless workloads, with OpenShift in the mix for some deployments. The stack is modern, the team isn't fighting legacy debt, and architectural decisions are still wide open at the senior level.
