We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Medical Administrative Assistant / Scheduler to support a U.S.-based practice specializing in Workers’ Compensation, Med-Legal, Orthopedic, Pain Management, and Chiropractic care.
This role is focused on managing scheduling workflows, coordinating patient appointments, and supporting documentation tied to Work Comp and med-legal cases. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, persistent, and comfortable working within structured processes that require consistent follow-up and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate new and follow-up appointments for Workers’ Compensation and med-legal patients
- Manage scheduling based on treatment plans, reporting timelines, and case requirements
- Communicate professionally with patients, attorneys, case managers, and referral sources
- Handle patient intake, including demographics, case details, and documentation entry
- Maintain accurate and organized records within the EMR system
- Upload and track documentation related to Work Comp and med-legal cases
- Support workflow coordination between scheduling, billing, and AR-related processes
- Assist with communication using VoIP systems to ensure efficient appointment coordination
- 2 years of experience in a U.S. healthcare administrative role (scheduling, patient coordination, or similar)
- Familiarity with Workers’ Compensation and/or med-legal workflows
- Experience using EMR systems (ConexEM preferred)
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage structured workflows
- Reliable, consistent, and comfortable handling deadlines and follow-ups
- Located in Latin America
Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a pay rate of $7 – $8 per hour depending on skillset and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, aligned with U.S. business hours.
