SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Serve as the first point of contact for the Service Desk, handling a mix of incidents, service requests, system alerts, and user onboarding/offboarding for all types of incidents and supported applications
- Provide technical support for developer tools, including access provisioning, troubleshooting, and configuration
- Maintain documentation of service desk activities and contribute to knowledge base articles
- Manage and maintain Linux (RHEL) and Windows servers
- Perform system troubleshooting across OS platforms, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Support both cloud-based and on-premises servers
- Create scripts and automations to enhance support activities
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, UrbanCode Deploy, and Ansible Tower
- Collaborate with development teams to address vulnerabilities and improve code standards
- Work within an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence
Core Competencies (Must-have Competencies)
- At least 3 years of experience in Linux and RHEL server administration
- At least 3 years of experience with Scripting and Automations using Python, Bash, Powershell, and Javascript
- At least 3 years of experience using Red Hat Ansible
- At least 3 years of experience with monitoring, managing, and responding to alerts
- At least 3 years of experience in system troubleshooting
- At least 3 years of experience with DevOps toolsets, including developing and troubleshooting pipelines
- Knowledgeable with using Jira and Confluence
Complementary Competencies (Good-to-have Competencies)
- Experience working with Windows servers
- Experience working with cloud and on prem servers
- Experience working with repositories and automation using Gitlab, Artifactory, Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy, and Ansible Tower
- Experience working with ServiceNow
- Experience working with Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with security and code quality using New Relic, SonarQube, and Prisma
- Experience with monitoring tools such as ELK and Zabbix
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or relevant certifications and experience
Work Conditions
- Work from Home Setup
- Amenable to work on a Night Shift (8 PM – 5 AM PHT) with possible on-call rotations for maintenance and deployments
