Constellation Payments / Jonas Financial Services is an internal company that focuses on helping the over 120 software companies in Jonas in monetizing payments. The Senior Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for acting with integrity and trust to be a subject matter expert for financial accounting, reconciliation, and analysis to ensure timely and accurate reporting for Constellation Payment Processing / Jonas Financial Services. Prior experience in payment processing and merchant services is strongly preferred. As the Senior Financial Operations Specialist, you will be reporting directly to the President.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Responsible for monthly financial accounting, reconciliation, and financial analysis, to ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly financial results
- Prepare monthly financial reports to include P&Ls by Channel Partner, Overall ToolKit, and AR to date for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills to create customize financial reporting to identify issues or anomalies within the financial data during the settlement or reporting process
- Responsible for working with BU leader our Corporate Finance team on month-end, quarter-end and year-end forecasting and other reporting and creating customized forecasting reporting to track forecast vs. actual by month
- Work with BU leader and Corporate Finance Team to Compare actual results with forecast to analyze and identify areas of strengths and weakness
- Work with BU leader and Corporate Finance team to Develop and deliver a consistent and accurate analysis of business performance using KPI and non-financial data to highlight performance
- Informing: ability to provide needed and necessary information and accurately reporting to other departments and management
- Prepare account reconciliations on monthly basis
- Prepare ad hoc financial analysis as required by Management or Channel Partners to determine if payment fees and charges are being assessed accurately
- Assist with internal and external audit requests as required by Processing partners and Channel Partners
- Continuously improve procedures; develop reports to drive insight and accountability
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
- Attained a Business/Finance degree (i.e. BBA, Comm. etc.) with preference given to those with relevant further study/designations (CGA/CMA/CA)
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience as a senior financial analyst, financial analyst, or in a similar position
- Understanding of Payment processing and fees
- Advanced skills and experience in MS Office Excel and database management
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to set priorities, adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal savviness skills with a proven ability to interact with all levels of management. Possesses strong leadership/command skills and demonstrates organizational agility
- Ability to learn new concepts and tasks quickly, work under pressure, and meet deadlines requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent technical learning, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in payment processing, merchant services and financial services preferred
