About Us:

We are passionate about creating a seamless and user-friendly platform that connects buyers and sellers, and we are looking for a talented and driven WordPress Developer to join our team and bring our vision to life.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain the WordPress-based marketplace website:

Build and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet the specific requirements of the marketplace.
Implement and manage e-commerce functionality using WooCommerce or other relevant plugins.
Ensure the website is responsive, mobile-friendly, and optimized for performance.
Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.

Website Optimization and Performance:

Optimize website speed, security, and SEO.
Implement caching strategies and other performance enhancements.
Monitor website performance and troubleshoot issues.

Website Maintenance and Support:

Perform regular website backups and updates.
Resolve website issues and provide technical support.
Implement security measures to protect the website from vulnerabilities.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with the founding team to understand requirements and provide technical expertise.
Communicate effectively and provide regular updates on progress.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the overall development strategy.

Scalability:

Design the website with scalability in mind, anticipating future growth and traffic.
Implement database optimizations.

Required Skills and Experience:

At least 5 years of proven experience as a WordPress Developer, preferably with experience in developing e-commerce or marketplace websites.
Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Extensive knowledge of WordPress core functionality, themes, and plugins.
Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms.
Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
Understanding of website performance optimization and SEO best practices.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Experience with cloud hosting platforms(AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.
Startup experience is a plus.
