As OEM Inside Sales Support (ISS), you will play a pivotal role in fueling the growth with our OEM Life Science customers. In this dynamic position, you’ll partner with our District Sales Managers (DSM) to support their respective OEM clients’ needs, collaborating with both domestic and global colleagues to gain deep insights into customers’ strategic business goals, challenges, and objectives, ultimately delivering tailored solutions that drive success. In this specialized role at Watson-Marlow, you will immerse yourself in the top accounts, uncover opportunities for growth, and contribute directly to the strategy that propels our OEM business toward success. With a focus on relationship-building and strategic development, you’ll interact with key internal and external stakeholders to shape and implement strategies that maximize business potential.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturing sites to ensure prioritization of OEM customer issues.
  • Assist in arranging monthly OEM Sales Team meetings to understand local progress and intelligent feedback on the accounts.
  • Engage in developing relationships with the DSMs to support the accounts in their territory, providing world-class customer experience.
  • Track KPIs such as orders and sales data on a regular basis to inform leadership decision making.
  • Work together with DSM to ensure Strategic Account Plans are up to date, taking a project management approach to tracking actions and deliverables.
  • Help to deliver improvement of tools and processes designed to more effectively support our customers
  • Ownership of maintaining accurate records for OEM clients in CRM and other collaboration tools (i.e. Loop)
  • Coordinate internal support resources to ensure customer requirements are met on time and in full.
  • Support of OEM account changes and their implementation (contracts, new account inclusion, commercial term changes)
  • Follow up on quotes and other deliverables to confirm customer satisfaction.

Who you’ll be working with

This role involves working closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, quality, and operations) to meet client needs while aligning with business objectives. You will be working side-by-side with sales to orchestrate collaboration and alignment across sites for the strategic account team.

This is what you’ll need to be successful in this role

  • Experience in account management, sales support, or client services is a plus.
  • Experience in the highly technical and/or scientific industry.
  • Ability to travel in company business ~25%, including overnight travel.
  • Proficient in Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and MS Teams.
  • Experienced ERP user, preferably Microsoft AX/Dynamics

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required to communicate with internal and external contacts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high professionalism.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., 365 Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands:

Mobility: Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods, with occasional need to stand or move around to maintain health and well-being; and occasionally lift or carry office supplies and equipment up to 10 pounds.
Vision and Hearing: Ability to use a computer and read documents. Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients. 
Work Environment: Typical office setting with moderate noise levels and standard office equipment.

 This position offers a salary range of $41,405 to $74,529. Final salary offers are determined by multiple factors, including education, experience, internal equity, geographic location, and the candidate’s expertise, and therefore may vary from the range listed. For roles based outside Massachusetts, the applicable salary range may be lower.
